ضروری نفس کُتّے نوں، قیما قیم کچیوے ھُو
نال محبت ذِکر اَللہ دا، دَم دَم پیا پڑھیوے ھُو
ذِکر کنوں ربّ حاصل تھیندا، ذاتوں ذات دِسیوے ھُو
دوہیں جہان غلام تنہاندے بَاھُوؒ، جنہاں ذات لبھیوے ھُو

ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਨਫ਼ਸ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ, ਕੀਮਾ ਕੀਮ ਕਚੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਨਾਲ ਮੁਹੱਬਤ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਅੱਲਾ ਦਾ, ਦਮ ਦਮ ਪਿਆ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਨੋਂ ਰੱਬ ਹਾਸਲ ਥੀਂਦਾ, ਜ਼ਾਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਦਿਸੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਦੋਹੀਂ ਜਹਾਨ ਗ਼ੁਲਾਮ ਤਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਹੂ(ਰਹ), ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਾਤ ਲਭੀਵੇ ਹੂ

It’s important to crush the canine self into bits
By fondly invoking Allah, with each breath
With invocation one reaches Lord. Divine Essence beheld within
O Bahoo, both the worlds are the slaves of those who reach the Essence
Explanation by Sultan ul Ashiqeen
It is necessary in the path of Faqr that the dog like inciting self is crumbled into bits and pieces ultimately towards its complete annihilation. The eternal invocation and contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat should be performed by every breath with intense passion. Without it, the self never dies despite lifelong prayers that will exhaust you. The blessing of Divine vision is received only after the self dies by the contemplation and invocation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Both the worlds come in the servitude of the one who is blessed with the essence.
