Trial is the Gift of Beloveds
To judge the degree to which Allah has been gracious, one must see the success rate of one’s trials. It is an impossibility to be blessed with the closeness of Allah without trials. Even the chosen beloveds of Allah have to go through the furnace of trials. If the spiritual guide is perfect, he makes one identify trials, bestows courage (to face them), then makes one go through them, grants patience (to bear losses in all forms) and consequently, returns manifold reward of trials from the court of Allah. One of its countenance is the secret of Allah.
Secret of Allah
The secret of Allah is the adventurous journey towards the Essence of Allah. The Essence and secret both are veiled in their own layers. Every secret has a secret above it and below it. All the secrets are stated within the enlightened book (the Holy Quran). The secrets accumulate together to form the dot of bay (the Arabic font) to complete the manifestation whose physical appearance is the Secret-bearer which is Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Its existence starts with Hoo and completes at the dot of bay whereas the peak is actually just the beginning.
The journey towards the Essence of Allah is the most difficult one. However, one who is blessed with the spiritual glance of benevolence, finds it the easiest. This glance belongs to al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and to my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. Nothing is hidden from this sight. It is the criterion that distinguishes the good and evil. It is the sight in front of which gold is dust and dust is gold. This is why it is a must for the seeker of Allah to become as though dust before entering the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen which would make his fortune filled with goodness.
Traveller of Truth
Then the seeker adjourns on the vehicle of certainty through the journey of witnessing (the Truth). The destination is truth of certainty which is in the form of layers. This rider is faster than Buraq. It is impossible to saddle it whereas riding it is simple. It’s first step is the beginning, and its second step is the peak. Then the rider becomes the embodiment of certainty and becomes the person of certainty.
By the command and permission of the Last Prophet, Mohammad (pbuh), he is appointed at the throne of spiritual instruction and persuasion. Thereby, he exercises generosity by spreading the invaluable wealth of certainty among people. My spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the perfect example of such a person. He is that secret-bearer who is himself the secret of Allah.
Innerself vs Faith
At the beginning, the seeker of Allah always has two ways to choose from: one is of inciting innerself and its desires whereas the other is related to faith and religion. When the seeker initially comes to the spiritual guide, he is (spiritually) blind. Hence, it is in his favour to listen to the spiritual guide (for spiritual navigation). This is the reason why the one who disobeys the spiritual guide becomes a friend of the Satan thereby annihilating in Satan to become one himself. On the other hand, the one who submits and obeys the spiritual guide annihilates in him and becomes immortal with Allah (baqa billah). Only Allah is Immortal. Therefore, intelligent is he who follows the word of his spiritual guide without any argument or questions. This is the bright sign of being a person of gnosis.
Giving up the authority despite being a person of power is a sure sign of submissiveness and having gnosis of Allah. The more a person gives in to the will of Allah, the powers given to him are increased 70 times. When he does not exercise these powers (bowing to the will of Allah), those powers are again increased by 70 times. Ultimately, he becomes a person of power. However, his journey does not end here. Despite all his powers, he submits to the will and decision of Allah presenting his life to the Truth.
Power of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Imam Husayn had perfect powers granted by Allah, but he chose to submit to the decision of Allah. This is the reason why the perfect spiritual guide despite being the most powerful person submits to the decision of Allah. Only the sincere seekers are aware that their spiritual guide is a man of authority. The seekers of the world and paradise take the spiritual guide to be a man of no authority (God forbid). This is the first lesson of Satan. In contradiction, when the seeker of Allah finds his spiritual guide to be the holder of perfect powers and yet submitting to the decisions of Allah-whose example is my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen- then the seeker circumambulates around the light of the spiritual guide. This station is achievable through the kingly invocation or dhikr (Sultan-ul-Azkar) which is granted by my gracious and kind spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. This invocation takes the invoker to the one being invoked. And the peak of invocation is that the invoker finds the countenance of spiritual guide being invoked.
The perfect spiritual guide reveals the Truth on the first day in front of the seeker. When the seeker witnesses the Truth from his inward, then he starts to follow the spiritual guide. The spiritual guide takes him on his spiritual journey while physically staying in this world. This journey is infinite and keeps continuing even if this life ends because the spiritual guide has the reigns of the horse on which the seeker is adjourned whose destination is Hoo-the station of no station.
Mediation of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Allah is pure and only through purity can one reach Him. Purity is related to mediation. This is the reason why mediation is permitted and approved on the condition that the mediator is like that of my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. On the first day of allegiance, purity is inculcated within the seeker in such a way that He seeks refuge from all the impurities that are from Satanic and inciting innerself.
The mediation only belongs to Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). It was through his mediation that the soul was blown in Adam. When the soul found it difficult to penetrate and adjust within the body of clay, it easily penetrated by the Mohammadan mediation. It is the mediation of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) that the light of Sultan-ul-Faqr manifested itself. The mediation has been passed on from Ali ibn abi Talib to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani to Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo and continues till my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. This is the reason why the chosen seekers of Allah travel from beginning to the peak on the very first day whereas Allah says regarding the narrow minded seekers:
“And whoever remains blind (to the truth) in this (world) will be blind in the Hereafter as well, distracted from the path (of deliverance).” (17:72)
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen – the Sarwari Qadri Mediator
If the mediation is that of a Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide, then all veils are lifted. Everything is revealed from pre-existence to eternity. A person becomes misguided if he tries to walk this journey without a mediator. Refusal of mediation is a Satanic characteristic whereas a weak mediator only ruins one’s intelligence. The genuine mediator is always a Sarwari Qadri perfect spiritual guide as my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
Without mediation, no one has ever reached the desired destination. The reason is that the soul only travels the way that is equipped with mediation. If the spiritual journey of the soul is delayed, then the inciting innerself starts to adopt the twenty-four calls of Satan. However, if the seeker of Allah acquires the mediation of my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, then he gets connected to the Mohammadan light from the very first day. The pioneer of this mediation is Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and even Adam was granted forgiveness as a result of his mediation.
Why is Mediation Important
Connecting to this mediation means to get completely rid of the Satanic calls. This is the reason why Sultan Bahoo says:
“Mediation is better than excellence.” (Ain-ul-Faqr)
When some seekers of Allah did not consent the mediation of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) then Allah also did not consent to them. This is because the mediator is the secret-bearer and he himself is the secret. It should be clarified that only two things exist in the world-good and evil. Goodness is the Mohammadan light whereas evil is Satan. In every era, access to the Mohammadan light is only possible through mediation. If the seeker holds onto this mediation, then he reaches the Mohammadan light which is extreme goodness. On the contrary, if the seeker does not hold onto this mediation then he is surrounded with evil. If the mediator is Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide as my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is, then it is as though holding onto the rope of Allah.
Rope of Allah
Allah says:
And hold fast to the rope of Allah, all of you together, and do not generate dissension and factions.
(1:103)
A person remains distant from Allah until he adopts mediation. This is why Allah says:
O believers! Fear Allah persistently and keep looking for means to (approach and get closer to) Him and strive hard in His way so that you may prosper.
(5:35)
It is painful for Satan when a seeker finds mediation towards Allah. This closes the way to misguidance. Even on the day of Divine covenant, the souls who remained present before their Lord was due to mediation. Those who diverted their attention from the mediation, got into Satanic schemes. There is only one way to reach Allah and that is of meditation. Among the roads that lead to Allah, the safest way is that of mediation as there are Satanic delusions in other ways. There are glad tidings for those who adopt the path of mediation because not a single sincere seeker has ever failed this way. Misfortune is for those who follow other paths as all of them lead to destruction and failure.
Station of Oneness
Divine Oneness is beyond the understanding of intellectual capacity. This is the station beyond stations where only Alif has access to It is due to this station that the perfect spiritual guide is able to see the seeker anywhere and anytime. Hence, the Sarwari Qadri disciple is never alone. Divine Oneness is the origin of all stations and levels. Everything manifested because of Divine Oneness and every peak is due to this. Only the Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide has the marvel of becoming the embodiment of Divine Oneness. This is because he is at the footsteps of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
According to his Hadith:
“I am Ahmad without M..”
The Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide being on the footsteps of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is just as on the ascension, Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) reached the point of Qausain where the distance vanished. Regarding this Ibn al-Arabi states that Allah says:
“Place your feet upon My feet.”
The owner of this grandeur is my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman.
Status of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Divine Oneness is infinite. Parallel to this reality is that the origin of Divine Oneness is the inward of the perfect spiritual guide. According to a Hadith:
The inward of true believer (Momin) is the throne of Allah.
The secret of Kun (to be) is also absolute Oneness. It is stated in Shams-ul-Fuqara (its English version is Sufism-The Soul of Islam):
لِسَانُ الْفُقَرَائِ سَیْفُ الرَّحْمٰنِ
Meaning: The tongue of Fuqara is the sword of Rahman.
These words signify the status of my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
Divine Oneness is beyond spiritual state, spiritual station and expression. It is necessary for sincere seekers to adopt the company of the one who resides beyond any station to achieve truth of certainty (haq al-yaqin). The Universal Divine Man (al-Insan al-Kamil) is the manifestation of Divine Light which is filled with Divine Light.
It is impossible to understand Oneness through duality. Oneness is a secret which is only known to the embodiment of Oneness. This is the peak of gnosis of Allah that the part (juz) becomes whole (kul) in his yearn and desire to know the whole. There are no dangers at this level although before this, there are numerous dangers as Sultan Bahoo says:
Until a person reaches Oneness, he is surrounded with dangers.
Origin of Goodness: Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
It is impossible to recognize the countenance of ‘only the Divine Essence is manifested in esoteric and exoteric being’ except for the Divine lovers because Allah is love Himself. Hence, only those who desire love must enter the court of my spiritual guide because within a moment, he converts the desirous to the desired one provided that the seeker is courageous.
The recognition of Oneness is unachievable because Oneness means a single unit. Everything of this single unit is limited to singularity. Singularity is infinite and is full of goodness and whose origin is my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. This is the reality of the perfect one whose peak is the beginning. The reality of my spiritual guide can be understood through Oneness whereas there is singularity in the solitude of Oneness. Oneness is the reality of perfect ones as their origin and finality is the same. The reality of my spiritual guide can be understood at the station/realm of Oneness. In the solitude of Oneness, there is singularity. And its reality is known only to the Essence as in that realm there is none but Him.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen-the Kaaba of Lovers
Whenever my spiritual guide wants, he can favour the sincere seeker with theophany to grant gnosis of Allah to his inward so that it takes the form of truth of certainty. He showers countless such theophanies upon his disciples whether they are from among humans or jinns. His spiritual sight is the cover of Oneness whose beneficence is due to love. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the Kaaba of lovers. When one witnesses this, he becomes speechless whereas if one does not become speechless then it means one has not witnessed his reality.
Sultan of Love
Love is guidance. My spiritual guide, the Sultan of love whose love, by the command of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), is progressing each day. With each moment, there is elevation whereas it is impossible to estimate each moment. There are countless intense theophanies of love upon the countenance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, that narrate and prove that he is love himself. He is the beloved of Allah.
The axis of the universe is sainthood whereas the axis of sainthood is submission to the decision of Allah. The perfection of this submission is the beginning of ascension. Ascension is the name of returning back to the beginning. The beginning of beginning is the sacred essence of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) to which only one road leads which is called love. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the Sultan and king of this love.
Beloved of Allah-Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Love is infinite at the beginning of which Angel Gabriel (as) refused to go further. My spiritual guide kept the Divine Trust of love, instructed seekers of Allah and spread the treasure of love to them. The peak of the Divine lover is the status of belovedness. According to a Hadith:
Allah grants perfection in faith to those whom He loves (i.e. those who are His beloved). (al-mustadrak 7301)
Hence, it is proven that the beloved of Allah is the person of perfect faith. In the beginning, the lover adopts the will of his Creator whereas his innerself is pleased on Allah’s will. Moreover, when the status of belovedness is bestowed then Allah becomes the lover, and he becomes the beloved. Here, the innerself is such that Allah is pleased with the person and He fulfills his desires. As Iqbal says:
خودی کو کر بلند اتنا کہ ہر تقدیر سے پہلے
خدا بندے سے خود پوچھے بتا تیری رضا کیا ہے
Oneness is when the decision of Allah is that of his slave. There is only one decision which belongs to Allah Almighty. This is the highest level of belovedness.
Marvels of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Where there is sainthood, the manifestation of marvels is a must. Marvels are the proofs of sainthood but it must be kept in mind that marvels are both spiritual and physical. It is extremely necessary to keep spiritual marvel as the foundation of the recognition of a Saint because this is the origin of guidance. Although, it is impossible to count the marvels of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman as it is impossible to count the drops of fathomless ocean.
The perfect spiritual guide tries not to manifest his marvels due to Sharia, he avoids fame (so that worldly people do not come to him) and due to the Mohammadan Sunnah, the perfect Sarwari Qadri Fakir tries not to manifest physical marvels so that he stays in the realm of mysticism (tariqat), reality (haqeeqat) and gnosis (marifat). These are the occasions on which physical marvels are manifested by the Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide. Because the inward spiritual world is of mysticism, reality and gnosis this is why spiritual marvel is infinite and beyond the level of understanding. The understanding capacity of a person determines what he achieves and witnesses.
It is also the truth to state that spiritual marvels are concealed in the veils of the physical world whereas physical marvel may also be hidden in the spiritual veils. Both the physical and spiritual marvels of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen are a source of guidance for the people of truth. On the contrary, those who are veiled, or blind are the like of a mule who learn nothing no matter how many books it may load on its back. For those who have the vision of Allah, a mere spark is enough whereas for the blind, even the Sun is veiled.
Spiritual Power of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The inwards of all human beings have been given under the power of the Perfect Ones. Their hand is the Hand of Allah. According to Prophet’s Hadith:
Abd Allah ibn Amr ibn al-As related the tradition that he heard the Prophet of Allah say: “The inward of humans is between the two fingers of Allah. It is upto Allah that He keeps it that way or He bends it.” (Muslim)
This is the grandeur of my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. His wrath is due to Allah’s wrath whereas his love attracts people towards the love of Allah. The explanation of his power is beyond words. He uses this power in countless matters of his disciples (both human and jinns) and brings goodness out of it and for the enemies, the evil aspect comes in front of them.
First, he exercises power in several matters of a disciple, then in every matter he manifests countless ways of his power bringing the seeker to the level of certainty upon the spiritual guide. The evidence of his spiritual power is encased within the book ‘Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’.
Those who recognize the Saints because of their power, it is necessary for those seekers of Allah to refer to this book. The manifestation of multiplicity of such powers is the proof of Divine Essence because wherever there is Allah, there echoes the voice of ‘to be’ and ‘it is done’ (kun fayakun).
Reviver of Mohammadan Religion: Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman has revived Mohammadan religion. In the way of Tasawuf, his teachings in the form of 24 books, prove to be the tower of light for the Mohammadan umma. His existence proves that even today Allah sends Perfect Fakirs for the betterment of His creation. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has blessed the inward of countless people with inspired knowledge. He showed the path of human ascension because the real Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) is to take one to that level.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has saved Muslims from the effort of 40 day seclusion and hard Mystic exercises taking them to the Mohammadan way. He has spread the beneficence of Allah among people through the greatest name of Allah not leaving behind any seeker of Allah unsated. Its proof is stated in book ‘Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’ that are the observations of different people. In this world of chaos, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the beacon of hope.
Everyone is openly invited to gain success in this world and religion by pledging allegiance to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and gain the treasure of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants the greatest and highest invocation (dhikr) of Allah (Hoo) to his disciples on the first day of pledging allegiance. He also guides about inscribing the name of Allah on body in a particular manner (mashq marqoom-e-wajoodia) for physical purity without which invocation and contemplation are ineffective and vice versa.
Hence, for the gnosis, union with Allah and to achieve the greatest spiritual level, all three are necessary: invocation (dhikr), contemplation (tasawur) and inscription (mashq marqoom-e-wajoodia) on the condition that they are given by the perfect guide who is the manifestation of Divine Essence.
Let’s come and enlighten the flame of Divine love within yourself by the spiritual company and perfect sight of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman.
Reviver of Religion – Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
According to a Hadith, at the beginning of every era, a reviver (mujaddid) manifests who regulates Mohammadan religion according to the demands of that era. (Sunnan abi Dawood 4291)
The efforts of the reviver are not dependent on people recognising him. This is true as Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo’s true identity as the Saint of Allah who had annihilated in Allah and became immortal with Him, was known to the world only after the Divine Trust was transferred to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. Before that, people knew him as a Sufi poet.
Sultan Bahoo’s words that
“Fountains of Divine light would spurt from my shrine and would spread to the entire world” actually refer and give evidence of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen as the reviver. According to a Hadith, Allah has caressed the foreheads of the people of Truth. This is why only the people of love recognise them. This is exactly the condition required to recognise Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Even if the people of love come from far off places, within a moment they recognise the Divine light on the forehead of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. The one whose forehead is deprived of this Divine light, he cannot recognise this light unless Allah grants it from His own through the mediation of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Allah says in the Quran:
O believers! Fear Allah and find the medium to reach (closeness and recognition of) Him. (5:35)
Recognition of Divine Light
The recognition of Divine light is achievable through the cognition of inward as Umar ibn Khattab stated:
I recognised my Lord through the cognition of my inward.
The existence and attributes of Perfect Fakirs is in fact manifestation of Divine Light. The efforts of the reviver for the religion are the expression and manifestation of the Essence of Allah. Hence, it is proven that only those believers are able to recognise the reviver whose inwards are enlightened with inward cognition.
On this basis, the Perfect Fakir and reviver of religion is not famous during his era. However, after his demise once, he is free from all shackles and limitations (of the body and worldly matters), at an appointed time he becomes famous the way Sultan Bahoo is famous today. Nevertheless, those who recognise the reviver of their era are the most deserving of the beneficence of Allah.
Intellect and Love
Intellect cannot reach the modality to which Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman has spread the essence of the Mohammadan religion (Islam). Only Divine love (ishq) can reach that point. The fact of the matter is, there are not many sincere Divine seeker present now. The one who is not thirsty cannot percept the existence of drink that would quench his thirst.
According to a Qudsi Hadith Allah says:
I Myself Am the time.
The reviver restores and revives the religion according to the time or era. Allah says in Quran:
Today I have perfected your religion for you. (5:3)
This is why, in every era the reviver, while staying on the Mohammadan footsteps, enlivens the religion according to the requisites of that age. In line with this rule, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, in the capacity of being the reviver, has given eternal life to the Mohammadan religion and made it easy for the Muslim umma.
Sign of the Reviver of Religion
In every era, the sign of the reviver is that he utilises all his time for reviving the religion like Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman has done. His disciples have never witnessed him in a state of leisure. If heretical uprisings start to arise in a particular era, then if required, Allah makes the reviver of that era famous. Its example is that of al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani whom Allah made famous to a certain extent within his lifetime. Since the present era is also creating heretical uprisings, hence Allah is making Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen famous with every passing moment.
Those revivers who become famous within their lifetime, their classification is unique. This is why, the seekers who are associated with such revivers are able to recognise these pure souls. The station of these entities keeps elevating with every passing moment. In this process of elevation, some aspects require the reviver to become famous as the Qudsi Hadith states:
There are some of My Saints who are hidden in My robe. No one knows them except Me.
The basic sign of the reviver is that his disciples are aware of the true religion because they have been blessed with the sight of the one who is the embodiment of religion. This is the proof that Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is the reviver of religion.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s Invitation Towards Truth
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman has always invited people towards the Truth and never ignored this responsibility even for a moment and has always fulfilled his duty. Only the embodiment of Truth can fulfil the duty of calling people towards the Truth. A person can only invite towards something that he possesses. Since pre-existence, the call of the people of Truth has been to invite creation towards Allah.
The purpose of all the actions of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has been to invite the creation towards the Truth. People come towards the Truth when they understand the Truth through knowledge and witness it, thereby becoming one with Truth. Sultan ul Ashiqeen has adopted the same method. His way of invitation goes from knowledge of certainty to eye of certainty and ultimately the truth of certainty.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s Court Grants Certainty
To gain knowledge of certainty one can refer to the books of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, to gain eye of certainty one must nurture love for Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and to gain truth of certainty, there is countenance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen exuding the Divine light. The level of one’s steadfastness measures the amount of beneficence one receives. Sultan ul Ashiqeen’s beneficence is infinite, however, a seeker receives beneficence according to their capacity and sincerity.
The beauty of this invitation is that it is given through the glance and attention of the spiritual guide and the one who accepts it does so with the inward. Therefore, the giver must be like Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and the receiver must be one who holds the treasure of Divine love and the cognition of inward.
When a seeker of Allah enters the court of Sultan ul Ashiqeen, he becomes (spiritually) rich from the very first day. He gains the treasure regarding which Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) showed pride. The sign of such a disciple is that he leaves everything behind or comes (spiritually) beheaded. Such a seeker places everything at the feet of his spiritual guide be it worldly desires, wealth or anything at all. When the spiritual guide finds him free from all materialistic desires then he blesses the seeker both from within and outside. Hence, this kind of seeker never returns empty from the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is always in search of such seekers although such sincere seekers are very few.
Significance of Courage
Further, when a person accepts this invitation of Truth, the one who sacrifices gold, receives gold. One who presents silver, gets silver and one who gives dust gets nothing except dust. Hence, it depends on the seeker as to what he is willing to sacrifice. The one who is brave enough to sacrifice everything in the way of Allah, then from Divine favour he is granted everything. ‘Everything’ refers to the Essence of Allah because everything belongs to Him and exists because of Him. This is why the less courage one has, the less one gets and the one who has more courage receives relatively greater.
Sultan Bahoo says:
“The seeker should be courageous” because only the one with great courage can reach great stations.
Company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
To understand the beneficence of being in the company of perfect Fakir, one must adopt it. In this way, the work of knowledge is limited. One can only fully understand something once one sees it, has been through it or has experienced it. This is why, it is important for the one who wants to gain the beneficence of the company of the perfect Saint, to first attend the gathering of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen with sincere intention.
The significance of company can be judged from the fact that no one has been stationed at the level of perfect Fakir without the company of a spiritual guide. Although there is a need for discussions and arguments before adopting company but the company of spiritual guide saves one from this effort because when one experiences and witnesses then there remains no need for it. This is the reason that the company of Sultan ul Ashiqeen widens one’s inward for religion. One becomes oblivious to the reality and absolves in the company of the spiritual guide. Only the perfect spiritual guide is the true companion of a seeker.
Hadiths Regarding Company of Spiritual Guide
According to Hadith:
“The religion of man is based upon the religion of his companion.” (Abu Dawood 4833)
It is incumbent upon the seeker of Allah to adopt company of a Fakir.
In another Hadith, it is stated:
“Only make the true believer your companion and your food should only go into the tummy of the pious.” (Mustafrak Hakim 7169)
This means the perfect spiritual guide is the one who deserves the wealth and assets of the seeker of Allah. Everything should be sacrificed for him. The perfection of faith is impossible without adopting the company of the perfect Fakir.
Company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Enlivens Inward
The company of the perfect spiritual guide clarifies and helps one distinguish between Truth and falsehood. This is because the perfect spiritual guide is the touchstone and exemplary of mirror in which the one with sincerity of intention gets to groom himself. On the contrary, the misfortune of the one with evil intentions becomes prominent as everything returns to its origin.
Only that company grants beneficence which takes one to the vision of Allah. Such a company is more of worship whereby the slave unites with his Master who is his Creator. The example of this is the pure company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman which enlivens the inward and makes it eternal. In his company, the true seeker yearns to return to his true land-realm of Divinity which takes form of anxiety and restlessness. He only finds peace in the company of the perfect spiritual guide. Hence, the cause of pain is also the medicine for healing it.
Source of Divine Vision is the Company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The company of the beloved is the only source of vision of Allah. The medium itself becomes the vision. This is the reason why vision is not possible without company. This is the reason for the differences between those who adopt the company and those who deny it because those who adopt it have been blessed with vision and hence, cannot refuse it. However, those who deny it never become aware of the secret because the knowledge and instances narrated by the one who has gained vision are beyond their comprehension. This knowledge is related to experience passing through which is necessary and it is exactly what they refuse to do. Those who do not give importance to these differences and adopt company with sincere intent, they convert from being the secret bearer to the secret itself.
Many followers of Truth came into the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen and by adopting the company of the beloved, reached the beloved Himself because the circumambulation around the beloved is the reality of circumambulation around the Divine Essence.
Importance of Being in the Company of Perfect Spiritual Guide
Everyone verifies his own state. The denier has never been blessed with vision so he always denies it whereas the one who is aware of the secret keeps envisioning which does not allow him to deny anything. The one who travels the journey from being merely a shepherd to becoming one who converses with Allah as a result of company of perfect spiritual guide, not only does he become acquainted with the reality but he himself becomes the reality.
If the Saint of all Saints (Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani) required the beneficence of the company of the spiritual guide, then assumption of the lowest of slaves that company of the spiritual is not required is nothing except ignorance. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says:
“Denial is the specialty of Satan.”
Sacrifice –The Attribute of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Before entering the world of Faqr and tasawwuf, it is required for a person to first sacrifice. Sacrifice is the door to this way through which the seeker can make as much way as he can. Since the Essence of Allah is infinite, the journey is also unlimited. Hence, there is no limit to sacrifice and its physical example is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen himself. Within a moment, he sacrificed everything in the way of Allah with such passion, sincerity and love that the very next moment, he was granted the Essence of Allah from his spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali to the highest extent.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman gave everything to his real beloved and the beloved gave everything to him. This way, the two became one so much so that today even the physical appearance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is reminiscent of his spiritual guide which is the strongest proof of the peal of Oneness. This is why it is incumbent upon the followers of Truth to search for this reality as this would take them to the secret bearer.
Reality Embraces Those Who Sacrifice
Sacrifice is also important because the Essence of Allah only manifests in the inward which is empty because He does not appreciate any partner. This is why it is must to sacrifice each and everything. When a person becomes empty handed with an empty inward, the Essence of Allah manifests Himself. The one who does not embrace sacrifice, the reality does not embrace him. This is how man spends his entire lifetime separated from Allah. How can a person bear witness of Allah when his inward is the home of idols?
Sacrifice is not only the way but also the key to the way. This is what opens up ways and grants cognition of the reality. This cognition is connected to the secret of Divine reality. Before reaching this secret, one is surrounded with dangers, protection from which can only be gained through sacrifice. Therefore, the more one sacrifices, the more ways are unlocked for him. This eases the way and such inward cognition is gained which manifests the truth and makes it obvious.
Quality of Sacrifice Gifted to Those Who Come to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
In this way, the seeker is his own decision maker that whether his journey be short or long. The time it takes for the hands and inward to get empty is the time it takes one to reach Allah. Now the seeker decides for himself whether he presents himself in the court of his spiritual guide beheaded or keeps making excuses. As Allah says:
“(O Mohammad pbuh!) Do not take (any of) them as an ally until they migrate (abandon their houses and everything) for the cause of Allah.” (4:89)
What kind of a seeker is he who claims to be a seeker of Allah yet refrains from sacrificing in the way of Allah although he is well aware of the reality. Sacrifice is more of a way of life i.e. sacrificing every moment in the way of Allah. However, the reality of sacrifice does not dawn upon a person unless he enters the court of true lover of Allah. If a person so desires to make this reality a part of his life, then the least he can do is to attend the court of the Sultan of lovers. At least once, he should attend the gathering of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman with humility and sincerity of intention.
Loyalty of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The seeker is continuously tested until he shifts from duality to Oneness. Only the Essence of Allah is free from all trials. It is difficult to maintain loyalty in every situation because it is not a one-time action and is based on entire lifetime. Patience is only tested in difficult times and not in times of happiness. On the contrary, loyalty is tested in both happy as well as sad times. Loyalty is judged by steadfastness. Because loyalty is necessary all the time, therefore, steadfastness is also required at every moment.
♦ Ali ibn abi Talib says:
“Loyalty is the believer’s specialty.”
The feet of loyal believers do not waver under any circumstances, because even a single wobble sometimes leads to a complete downfall. Regarding loyalty and steadfastness, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman says:
♦The seeker should adopt steadfastness until he becomes accomplished in Faqr.
♦Loyalty is the favour of Perfect Spiritual Guide
♦Loyalty and steadfastness are actually the result of the favour of spiritual guide. The glance of the spiritual guide is the favour which is cast upon chosen deserving disciples. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is the greatest example of loyalty. From the moment his gaze met the eyes of his eternal love and spiritual guide, he became exemplary of loyalty. No matter what, there was not a single moment that his loyalty lessened. In fact, the level of his loyalty elevated to such an extent that he became Markaz-e-Faqr (Centre of Sufism).
Loyalty of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Extends to All
The level of perfection of the loyalty of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is that whoever is blessed with his glance, becomes loyal. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has blessed countless disciples with this unique bounty from among jinns and humans.
His loyalty has not been limited only towards his spiritual guide but he has extended his loyalty with all the Shaikhs of Sarwari Qadri Order and maintained a beautiful and inspiring relationship.
Its proof is the reconstruction of the shrines of previous Shaikhs. In parallel to this, his loyalty is also evident from the fact that he is the only one who has dedicated himself to spreading the word, services (for humanity) and elevated rank (near Allah) of these Shaikhs. It is as clear as daylight that Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has revived their teachings in the most authentic form.
For all times to come, he has blessed all the seekers of Allah with the reality of the path of Faqr, by establishing the value and significance of Sarwari Qadri Order. He has protected the teachings of Faqr in every medium and form thereby becoming the greatest example of loyalty.
Grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Part III
Immortal Mystic-Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Regarding those who take refuge in this fort, Allah addresses Satan and says:
Surely, you will in no way be able to influence My servants (who have attained this freedom from you). (15:42)
Markaz-e-Faqr-Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Hassan ibn Ali states that Satan neither drew sword nor used lashes but made fake promises and gave false hopes to misguide the people of falsehood. The owner of fort is the provider of refuge. On the path of Faqr, the perfect Fakir is the reason and proof for the seekers of Allah in His court. The owner of this fort looks after his refugees according to the will of Allah and is answerable to Him about them. Allah says:
(Call to mind) the Day when We shall call every section of people along with their leaders.(17:71)
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is spreading the pride of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) to the Muslim umma i.e. the treasure of Mohammadan Faqr. Faqr can only be granted through the mediation of Markaz-e-Faqr (Centre of Sufism). Among the many evidences, these two advocate Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen to be the Markaz-e-Faqr. Usually this rank and status is achievable only after the demise of a Saint. This is because the spiritual powers of Saints and Fakirs multiply to great extent after they are liberated from the worldly cover of bodies.
Shah Waliullah’s Views
Shah Waliullah writes in his book Hama’at:
When 400 to 500 years have passed after the demise of a Shaikh, Saint or Fakir, their physical powers which did not let their souls appear in pure and subtle form in their lives become ineffective after such a long time. During this time the subtle contents of their souls are dispersed. In this state if a person becomes attends their shrines and seeks help, his soul receives beneficence from their souls.

Sarwari Qadri Shaikh is on the Steps of Prophet Mohammad
The Essence of perfect spiritual powers resides in the being of Markaz-e-Faqr. The chosen special Saints who attain the blessing of perfect spiritual power while alive, become Markaz-e-Faqr within their lifetime such as al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo and Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman.
This great blessing is only rewarded to the Sarwari Qadri perfect spiritual guide as only he is on the footsteps of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). The Holy Prophet says:
He who follows my way, only he is my progeny.
Since Faqr is the Mohammadan heritage, this is why it is granted to the Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide who is on the Mohammadan footsteps.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says:
The grandeur with which a Sarwari Qadri annihilates in Prophet Mohammad, it is not possible for seekers belonging to other Sufi orders(Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen)
Sultan Bahoo says:
The peak of any other Sufi order cannot reach even the beginning of Sarwari Qadri Order. (Mehak al-Faqr Kalan)
Faqr Only Granted Through Markaz-e-Faqr
Whoever attains Faqr, does so only through Markaz-e-Faqr (Centre of Sufism). Hence, it is incumbent upon the seeker of Faqr to search for Markaz-e-Faqr. Without connecting with Markaz-e-Faqr, one may be able to cross spiritual levels but never can one smell the fragrance of Faqr. Every desire except Faqr is lust. Hence, the one who is desirous of lust remains deprived of Faqr. Faqr is the Ocean of Divinity which is filled with beneficence. The source of this beneficence is Markaz-e-Faqr who is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in present era. On whomever he casts his spiritual sight, that person becomes the embodiment of Faqr.
Intensify the burning sensation within me,
So that my dead inward comes to life;
It would only cost you one glance,
To grant me that which is unutterably special.
Markaz-e-Faqr is more of secret which is only unveiled upon the followers of Truth. Markaz-e-Faqr reforms the rules and regulations of the treasure of Faqr in accordance with the requirements of his era. After Prophet Mohammad (pbuh), the system of the realm of spirituality is divided in 2 parts. One era belongs to al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and second to Shabeeh-e-Ghaus-e-Azam (reflection of al-Ghawth al-Azam) who is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman.
Mohmmadan Nation and Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
One goblet of the ocean of Divine Oneness transforms a Muslim into a believer (Momin). The cup-bearer of this fathomless ocean is Markaz-e-Faqr. The great blessing of the ocean of Divine Oneness was granted to Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) on the night of ascension. Through his mediation, it was passed onto the Fakirs of his umma. During his era, he himself was Markaz-e-Faqr (Centre of Sufism). Faqr is the Essence of Allah whereas Markaz-e-Faqr is the manifestation of that Essence. This is why Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) said:
Whoever saw me, has witnessed the Truth. (Bukhari 6997)
Iqbal’s Views on Markaz-e-Faqr
The devastation of the Mohammadan nation is due to the distance from Markaz-e-Faqr. Closeness to Markaz-e-Faqr is the way to success. In reality, Markaz-e-Faqr is religion itself. Regarding this failure and success of the Mohammadan nation, Allama Iqbal says:
اپنی ملت پر قیاس اقوامِ مغرب سے نہ کر
خاص ہے ترکیب میں قومِ رسولِ ہاشمی
ان کی جمعیت کا ہے ملک و نسب پر انحصار
قوّتِ مذہب سے مستحکم ہے جمعیت تری
دامنِ دیں ہاتھ سے چھوٹا تو جمعیت کہاں
اور جمعیت ہوئی رخصت تو ملت بھی گئی
Meaning:Do not judge your nation according to the criteria of the West.
Unique and special is the structure of the Mohammadan nation.
The country and lineage is dependent upon their jamiat (unity)
Your jamiat (unity) is stable due to the power of religion.
If you let go of your religion, you would lose jamiat (unity).
If jamiat (unity) is lost then the country would also be lost.
The way to reach Allah is only through Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) and the way to Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) is only possible through the mediation of Markaz-e-Faqr. Another sign of Markaz-e-Faqr is that the evil or falsehood of every era stands up against him. The skirmish between Truth and falsehood establishes and makes one recoginise the Truth. Falsehood is the enemy of Truth since pre-existence. When the soul of Truth was blown inside Adam, it was then that Satan became outraged with enmity. Allah says:
So when I accomplish the perfection of his (physical) constitution into his real being, and breathe My (divine) spirit into (the inner self of) this (human physical) organism, then fall down prostrate before him. So, (no sooner did the light of Allah’s effulgence illumine the human organism than) all the angels fell down in prostration together. Except Iblis. He refused to join those who prostrated themselves. (15: 29-31)
Since then, the ongoing battle between Truth and falsehood continues sometimes in the form of sacrifice and otherwise through the great beheading (a term usually referred to Ibrahim’s sacrifice of his son).
Sultan Bahoo’s Famous Poetry
In his Punjabi quatrain, Sultan Bahoo (ra) says:
چڑھ چناں تے کر روشنائی، تیرا ذکر کریندے تارے ھوُ
He is referring to a Perfect Saint or reviver of religion requesting, O Moon! Arise and enlighten the followers of Truth from all over the world with the light of Mohammadan Faqr. In fact Sultan Bahoo (ra) is foretelling the arrival of a Perfect Saint who would come in the future and make the Mohammadan Faqr common in the world.
When the full moon is at its peak on the darkest night, it ends all darkness with its light. The darkness is replaced with light. Similarly, good dominates evil. This is exactly in correspondence to the Moon which is being referred by Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo (ra). The way a blind person is deprived of beholding the Moon, likewise those who are spiritually blind from the beginning can never be enlightened with the Divine light. They are annihilated in Satan because it was due to Satan’s blindness that he failed to see the soul within Adam. His vanity blinded him. This is the reality of the veils of innerself that it keeps man in veil from Allah.
Sultan Bahoo’s Moon Is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Allah has few chosen men whom He grants the ability of drawing good from evil and this is the height of spiritual power. By using the metaphor of Moon, Sultan Bahoo has alluded to this attribute whereby the Moon replaces the darkness with light.
Allah has granted this spiritual power to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman whose evidences are written within the chapter Karamat Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in the book Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. One of these marvels is being stated here from page 439 of the 2nd edition:
The witness of this marvel is Sultan Mohammad Nasir Hameed. He relates that once a disciple came in the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen with his friend who was quite worried.
He said, “O Shaikh! My wife is under the hold of some jinn or evil entity. Please have some mercy as she is in a bad state to help her.” Hearing this Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen explained, “I only grant Ism-e-Allah Zaat for the gnosis and recognition of Allah but now that you have come, take this amulet and use it as guided.”
That person relates that when they got home, his friend’s mother inquired as to where they had been. First they thought of hiding it but they told her that they went to get the amulet. She said that her daughter-in-law had been talking in a male voice, “Both of those molvis have gone to get amulet for me.” When they entered her room she said, “So you have brought amulet for me. First make me recite the Muslim creed so I become a Muslim.” Then she asked her father-in-law to give call of prayer (azan). Then as soon as the amulet was used, the jinns left and the woman got back to normal.
Marvel of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
This marvel reveals how evil had been growing in one place but due to the spiritual power of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, not only did the jinns flee for life but also converted to Islam. This is how Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen replaced good with evil.
Since Sultan Bahoo (ra) had given the news of Moon hence, the arrival of Moon initiated from his own shrine. Further, by popularising the name of Sultan Bahoo, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen proved that he is the Moon which was predicted by Sultan Bahoo.
Sultan Bahoo wrote 140 books filled with inspirational knowledge that describe each state, station and secret of Faqr and Tasawuf. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen extracted all the books of Sultan Bahoo in his one comprehensive book ‘Shams-ul-Fuqara‘ (it’s English version also exists named ‘Sufism – The Soul Of Islam‘) in the form of chapters.
There is no rule of Tasawuf which is outside of this book and there is no station of seekers of Allah which is not present in this book. On the other hand, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has enlightened the world with his inspirational knowledge similar to the luminous Moon.
Guidance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Therefore, the journey of guidance is in fact a spiritual one whereas misguidance is also related to one’s inward. Light and darkness both exist within the inward of a person. In fact, the absence of light is the presence of darkness. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen says:
“Allah is the light of His own darkness.”
Since the spiritual world is vast in comparison to the material world, hence its dangers are far more. In an era where chaos arises and sins are being justified and considered rightful, claimants of religion start to exist, those who claim to be spiritually elevated are deprived of spirituality and all around there is evil, where piety is considered a sin and sins are considered good, the Mohammadan religion shrinks to few people of sight, In the world of multiplicity Satan resides in every house, morals have left this world, where the ignorant is the scholar and vice versa, where faith has been erased from the inwards, the innerself has annihilated in Satan, the greater the hypocrite, the greater he is considered to be religious, where the difference between Truth and falsehood has diminished, the Muslim nation has divided into sects and every sect calls other to be infidel, when Saints are taken as ordinary human beings, then in such an era of darkness taking the responsibility of guiding the Muslim nation is the work of the Sultan of Lovers and it only suits him.
Luminous Moon of Truth Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Regarding this era, Sultan Bahoo (ra) says:
چڑھ چناں تے کر روشنائی
Only the Sultan of lovers can enlighten this darkness and that luminous Moon which is guiding everyone towards the righteousness is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. In different eras, Saints have been giving news of those Saints who are to come in the future. Likewise, Sultan Bahoo gave glad tidings about Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in his Punjabi couplets. Those seekers of Allah are infinitely blessed who belong to the same era in which Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has graced world.
His grandeur is such that wherever he casts his enchanting glance, the darkness of that place is replaced with Divine light. With one glance he enlightens the way of guidance. In this way, the seeker becomes man of jamiat (highest level of Faqr where he precedes all previous level attaining peace, stability and strength) and reaches his destination. With his eternal beneficence, those blind by birth gain sight. The land to which he grants his attention elevates to the sky. The way which is enlightened due to him, is in fact the only way of guidance. Apart from this, there is certainly no way to reach back to one’s homeland – realm of Divinity (Lahoot).
True Guide of Mohammadan Nation- Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The arrogant person is blind by birth and is hence, deprived of the ability to adopt Faqr. The arrogant people are the enemies of guidance whereas guidance is the essence of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh). There is only one way to guidance, the rest is all ignorance and misguidance. Abdullah ibn Masood says:
One day the Holy Prophet (pbuh) drew a line for us and said, “This is the way to Allah Almighty.”
Then he drew lines on the right and left of that line and explained,
“These are other ways each of which lead to Satan who entices people to walk on it.” Then he recited the verse:
And that this (Islamic law) is My straight path. So follow it and do not follow (other) paths. (6:153)
The way of guidance is only visible to those who desire it. He who is not desirous of guidance is a follower of Satan because only he is the enemy of guidance. Allah is the master of fame and defamation whereas guidance is only granted to those who seek it. Allah says:
And that man (according to justice) will get only that for which he strives. (53:39)
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Replaces Good with Evil
Guidance is above lineage. The Holy Prophet (pbuh) is guidance and guidance is the Divine light. This Light is present within every person’s inward in the form of a seed which grows and flourishes with Divine love (ishq) till the inward becomes Divine light. When the inward overcomes the outward, then the outward of that person also moulds into light. This is exemplary of light over light.
In the present era, the Moon of Sultan Bahoo (ra) who is enlightening the way of seekers of Allah to allow them to reach their destination of Faqr is the true guide, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. He guides with such grandeur that with one glance he grants access to Mohammadan Assembly and vision of Allah on the condition that the seeker has the desire for Allah and ability to absorb all the spiritual stations.
With his single glance, he is converts the inward of a person with faith, perish the inciting innerself and make the inward alive. He replaces good with evil. The seekers who become his disciples by pledging allegiance to him, are accompanied with the presence of the spiritual guide which is a great blessing of Allah.
Sacred Court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The determination of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the sword of Rehman (attribute of Mercy) and he is dominant upon every condition of his disciple. His way of training his disciples is the proof that he is exactly on Mohammadan footsteps. With his gnosis, the Mohammadan Assembly is granted.
The kings are the beggars of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen’s court and the powerful personalities find themselves weak in the presence of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is always there to protect and guide his disciples and always keeps an eye on them even if they are in far-off countries. The disciples bear witness that he is their saviour who always guides them whenever they face a difficulty and protects them against all sins. He grants them a new life even after they witness a near-death experience. The enemies of his disciples remain anxious whereas he provides peace and prosperity to the anxious disciples.
His specialty is that he covers the sins of his disciples. He makes his disciples go through every spiritual condition in a way that he does not let them lose their senses. The way of Faqr is the way towards Allah which is only bestowed upon those who make the dust of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman the kohl of their eyes (who make him their priority and put him above everything and everyone else).
Grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Part IV
Imam of This Era Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Satan is evil whereas the greatest good is the Mohammadan essence. In the physical absence of Prophet Mohammad pbuh, the Universal Divine Man, by virtue of being his vicegerent, is the manifestation and source of good. The present Imam of this era is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman. Allah has chosen him to be the authority over the treasure of Divine love and it is upto him how he distributes it. From pre-existence, he is the Universal Divine Man with unique qualities unlike any other.
This is why evil people always complain, criticise and conspire against the Universal Divine Man who is the Mohammadan vicegerant.
Prophet Mohammad pbuh says:
“Satan in the form of human is more dangerous than in the form of jinn.”
Glance of the Universal Divine Man
When Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman bestows his sacred glance upon a sincere seeker of Allah, he makes him needless of everything except Allah. To gain the gnosis of Allah, it is necessary to pledge allegiance to the Universal Divine Man who, at the present time, is my spiritual guide.
As Sultan Bahoo (ra) says:
کی ہویاجے راتیں جاگیں، جے مرشد جاگ نہ لائی ھوُ
Meaning: “Even if worships are done all night, they are useless unless one pledges allegiance to my spiritual guide to gain his beneficence.”
Theophany of the Divine Essence
The accumulation of all knowledge does not lift the veil of inciting innerself but merely a single glance of the perfect Fakir is able to lift it.
The reality of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen unveils through the special theophany which manifests in realm of Transcendent Unity. This theophany is experienced through closeness and union. It is neither in the approach of the universe and creation because it is infinite theophany of the Divine Essence whose access is only limited to the Essence itself. From here, the call of “Am I not your Lord?” (refers to the Quranic verse 7:172 whereby Allah questioned the souls that is He not their Sustainer and they replied in the affirmative) echoes. Here, everything which exists between pre-existence and eternity, unravels. The 14 realms within the inward are manifested at this point.
According to the Quran:
So, whichever direction you turn to, there is the presence of Allah (the essence of Allah is radiantly manifested in all directions). [2: 115]
Grandeur of the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
This theophany is acquainted with the Divine Secret. It is the pinnacle of Ism-e-Zaat. This is the reason behind the fact that whoever enters the court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen with a sincere desire of Allah, his beginning as well as peak both is Ism-e-Allah Zaat. This is the station of the purified inward. On the other hand, the world and its lust are both dirty. This filth cannot even be washed with the Zamzam water unless the Perfect Fakir, such as my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, cleans it through his sight.
This is the reason for which the Divine lovers do not give attention to the world and stay drowned in the ocean of Divine Oneness. On the other hand, a worldly person stays focused on the world. Sultan Bahoo (ra) has termed the world as half curse and the worldly people as full curse.
ادھی لعنت دنیا تائیں، تے ساری دنیا داراں ھوُ
Hence, it does not suit the seeker of Allah to desire the world or to appreciate its company. On the contrary, the true believer (Momin) enjoys the company of true believers. The guest of true believer is from among true believers. According to a Hadith:
Abu Said al-Khudri (ra) states that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) says, “Always befriend a true believer and your food should only go into the stomach of the devout.” (Mustadrak 7169)
Stations Granted to the Follower of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
These stations are granted to the one who has the good fortune of beholding the sacred countenance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. This is because his vision acquaints one to the secret of the Mohammadan Reality. Otherwise there are many who can only see but are still blind towards it. As Allah says in the Quran:
“As if they were looking at you, whereas they do not see (anything).” (7:198)
The seeker of Allah is not one who bends before the world or worldly people. The dignity of Allah is so exalted that He does not let His seeker become fearful of the world or worldly people. In contrast, it is the seeker of Allah before whom the world and worldly people bend. However, in this era, all these levels are only granted from the sacred court of my Murshid Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. Therefore, the beggar belonging to his court is higher than a worldly king.
Prophecies Regarding Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman is the entity regarding whom Sultan Bahoo revealed around 300 years ago:
چڑھ چناں تے کر روشنائی، تیرا ذکر کریندے تارے ھوُ
Explanation: O enlightened moon of Faqr! Rise soon and fill this dark and evil world with the Divine light. The seekers and true believers of Allah are desperately waiting for you.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the one whose presence was much awaited by Sultan-ul-Tarikeen Sayyid Mohammad Abdullah Shah Madni Jilani (ra). When the shrine of Pir Abdullah Shah (ra) was demolished, he said:
“My shrine would be constructed by somebody who will be exactly like me.”
It is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen who removed the false accusations attached to the Sarwari Qadri order.
Removal of Accusation Part 1
Among these, one accusation was made after the death of Pir Abdul Ghafoor Shah (ra) whereby he is associated to the Chishti order. In the era of Sultan Mohammad Abdul Aziz (ra), regarding this accusation, Pir Abdul Ghafoor Shah revealed through dream to some of his special disciples who would regularly come:
“Somebody similar to myself would come and remove all these accusations. He would clarify to the whole world that I belong to the Sarwari Qadri order.”
Later, it was Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen who proved to everyone that Sultan Mohammad Abdul Ghafoor Shah (ra) is only associated to the Sarwari Qadri order.
Removal of Accusation Part 2
The second accusation was against Sultan Bahoo (ra) that he did not have a physical spiritual guide. This false allegation became popular and the hypocrites made it the foundation to claim that there is no need for a physical spiritual guide. Moreover, one group among these claimed that they have been granted beneficence the same way as Sultan Bahoo received it without any spiritual guide.
In this regard, once Sayyid Mohammad Bahadur Ali Shah (ra) presented the request at the shrine of Sultan Bahoo to get this accusation removed. Sultan Bahoo replied:
“Soon somebody from my order would arise and he would be similar to me. I await his arrival. He would reveal the reality, find the shrine of my spiritual guide and cut the roots of this false allegation.”
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman did an in-depth and complete research upon the spiritual guide of Sultan Bahoo and also found out the shrine of Sultan Bahoo’s spiritual guide which is in Delhi (India).
Sultan Bahoo’s Prophecy of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Despite being uneducated, Sultan Bahoo wrote 140 books upon Faqr and Tasawuf. Since he did not know how to write, his caliphs would scribe the words he would say. This is how his writings were persevered in the form of manuscripts. Once a caliph of Sultan Bahoo asked him,
“You have written so many books and preserving so many of these manuscripts but when would these teachings become known to the world.” Hearing this, Sultan Bahoo replied, “Soon a Fakir would arise from the Sarwari Qadri order who spread my teachings and beneficence to every corner of the world.”
Undoubtedly, that entity is none other than Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman who has truly proven that he is the rightful spiritual heir of Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo (ra).
Grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Last Part
Faqr is Adorned with Sharia
My beloved Murshid Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman’s status is Faqr adorned with Sharia. All of his basic movements, eating habits and way of talking are according to Sharia. The more one intends to understand Sharia, the deeply one must observe Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. His teachings of Faqr are exactly Sharia. He is Marifa covered in Sharia. He begins the spiritual journey of his seeker from Sharia. By the time the seeker reaches the peak of his journey, he becomes the embodiment of Marifa. This does not allow him to make a single move outside of the Mohammadan Sharia. He gets spiritual protection by wearing the robe of Sharia.
Way of Good Fortune
When Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen grants spiritual glance upon a seeker of Allah, then his inward is showered with Divine Light. The way rain water drains away all the filth, the same way the spiritual sight of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen sprouts fountains of Divine Light within the seeker’s inward. For the people of faith, this is the way to good fortune and source of secret due to which the seeker abstains from inclining towards the world.
Inward Purification Through Company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
As a result of being in the company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, the seeker’s chest widens, he becomes generous and he becomes alive through guidance. Difficulties of inward are caused by attention towards the world. Indifference towards the world leads to the expansion of the inward. This Divine Light which sprouts in the inward purifies the innerself taking it to the destination. This is how the attributes, behaviour and conditions of the innerself change. This Divine Light awakens one’s spiritual eye which does not see anything except the light of certainty which is exactly visioning the Truth. Every moment, Allah reveals new secrets that makes the seeker say:
عَلَّمَ الْاِنْسَانَ مَالَمْ یَعْلَمْ
Meaning: Who taught man (all that) which he did not know.(96:5)
Regard for the Beloved
If a person genuinely deviates his attention from the world and directs it towards Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen entering his court, then such a person is adorned with the states of the close ones according to his capability. It is not easy to deviate one’s attention from the world because it means sacrifice in the way of Allah.
The seeker who sacrifices in this way, elevates to such a level by a single glance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen that his knowledge becomes his experience. This creates the awareness of separation from the Divine beloved causing agony and sorrow. However, this ability is only limited to those who are perfect in their regard for the Beloved. The initial stage of spiritual journey is due to respect and regard. Moreover, the peak of spirituality is also achieved due to regard for the Beloved.
Remembrance of Allah
That which is gained through regard is the real achievement and maintaining it is the cause of prosperity and good fortune. The invocation (dhikr) and remembrance which is absent of Allah, has Satan in it. Allah says:
وَ مَنْ یَّعْشُ عَن ذِکْرِ الرَّحْمٰنِ نُقَیِّضُ لَہٗ شَیْطٰنًا فَہُوَ لَہٗ قَرِیْنٌ
Meaning:And whoever turns away from the remembrance of the Most Kind (Lord), We appoint a Satan to dominate him and stick to him constantly.(43:36)
Before coming into the court of Saints, the inward of a seeker is a barren land. The Saints give it life through their alchemic sight making it capable (fertile enough) of being planted with seeds. Then they sow seeds (which turn into enormous plants bearing sweet fruits). My spiritual guide has the same alchemic sight and sows the seed of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. This sprouts such a plant which is watered with the recitation of the Holy Quran and Hadiths of Prophet Mohammad pbuh. Then it grows into a tree whose whole existence can see and recite. Each particle of his body becomes occupied in the invocation of Allah and it overpowers the cognition and actions of the believers. This is the real life and keeping distance from it means death.
Since the Sarwari Qadri Saints are exactly on the Mohammadan footsteps, hence, the following verse is in accordance to their being:
یٰٓاَ یُّھَاالَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا اسْتَجِیْبُوْا لِلّٰہِ وَ لِلرَّسُوْلِ اِذَا دَعَاکُمْ لِمَا یُحْیِیْکُمْ
Meaning:O Believers! Present yourselves (immediately) responding to Allah and His Messenger (blessings and peace be upon him) with submissiveness and obedience whenever He calls you for some assignment that brings you (eternal) life.(8:24)
Divine Oneness
Real life is actually Divine Oneness because immortality is only possible for the Essence of Allah whereas everything else is perishable and subject to annihilation. When Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen blesses the inward of the seeker of Allah with the theophany of Divine Oneness then the seeker becomes indifferent and estranged towards everything except Allah. When the sincere seeker of Allah returns to Allah (annihilates in Allah) leaving behind everything, then he becomes fulfilled.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen the Embodiment of Light
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is the embodiment of Divine Light who removes the darkness of ignorance, as Allah says:
وَ قُلْ جَآئَ الْحَقُّ وَ زَہَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ط اِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ کَانَ زَہُوْقًا
Meaning:And say the Truth has come and falsehood has perished. Surely, falsehood (by its nature) is bound to perish.(17:81)
Whenever Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen gives a command regarding something, it has both an inner and an outer aspect. Its spiritual gnosis is revealed once that command is followed. This gnosis is only revealed to those whose spiritual feed is Divine Light whose source is the embodiment of Divine Light i.e. my beloved spiritual guide.
Theophany of Allah and Grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Whenever Allah theophanizes in a being, then that being becomes His symbol. Another form of theophany is that of Divine Essence. In the Perfect Saints, this theophany of Divine Essence is so intense that they return to the symbol of theophany, get dissolved in it to become the exact Divine Essence themselves.
This is the grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen.
Once, Imam Jafar fainted during his Salat. When he was inquired regarding it, he replied:
“I was reciting a particular verse repeatedly. So much so that at last, I heard it from the Speaker Himself (Allah).”
It is the truth that by being in the company of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, one finds him to be reminiscient of the sacred tree through which Allah converses with Moses. (This is mentioned in the Quran such as in 28:30.). In this way, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen takes the seekers of Allah from the level of creation to eternity transforming them from the beginner to the expert level. Some seekers of Allah do not accept these theophanies because their focus is not towards the Divine Essence. Only he deserves these theophanies who has gained perfection in focusing upon the Divine Essence. His sign is that he sacrifices life and wealth in the way of Allah which is due to inward purification.
Focus upon the Divine Essence
These stations are only granted to those who keep their focus upon the sacred countenance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen (who envision him all the time and follow his footsteps and commands) and then whatever inspiration is descended to their inwards, they listen to it, understand it and when the right time comes, they act according to it. The inward is revealed with new Divine inspirations. It is upto the seeker that whether he prefers to see what Allah is making Him understand to or he listens to what Satan has to say. Every man chooses one of these two options. Allah says:
اِنَّ اللّٰہَ یُسْمِعُ مَنْ یَّشَآئُ
Meaning:Surely, Allah makes whom He wills hear.(35:22)
وَ اِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْاٰنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوْا لَہٗ وَ اَنْصِتُوْا لَعَلَّکُمْ تُرْحَمُوْنَ
Meaning:And when the Quran is recited, listen to it attentively and observe silence so that mercy may be bestowed upon you.(7:204)
Chosen Few by Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
At the beginning of the spiritual journey, the seeker of Allah is unable to understand the Divine inspirations being revealed into his inward but whomever among these is chosen by Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, listens and understands it. There has not been a single seeker who has come into the sacred court of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen with a difficulty in his way of Faqr and Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has not solved it and taken away his difficulty. In fact not only has he protected the seeker, he has also granted him with an even elevated level directing him towards the real inward destination. This reality is excellence whose origin is Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen himself. This is the excellence without which elevation is impossible. Such an excellence is gained by those who have been granted with sincerity (ikhlas). Sincerity leads to agreeing to the will and decision of Allah.
السّٰبِقُوْنَ الْاَوَّلُوْنَ مِنَ الْمُہٰجِرِیْنَ وَ الْاَنْصَارِ وَ الَّذِیْنَ اتَّبَعُوْہُمْ بِاِحْسَانٍ رَّضِیَ اللّٰہُ عَنْہُمْ وَ رَضُوْا عَنْہُ
Meaning:And the Emigrants and their Supporters (Ansar), the vanguard of the believers, and those who follow them in the grade of spiritual excellence. Allah is well-pleased with them (all) and they (all) are well-pleased with Him. And He has prepared for them Gardens with rivers flowing under them. They will live in them forever. This is indeed a colossal achievement.(9:100)
This is how a person becomes a part of that troop of Allah whose fate is Faqr. The leader of this troop is the Universal Divine Man of the era who is my spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. My beloved spiritual guide holds such an exalted rank in Faqr which has neither been witnessed before him nor would it ever be witnessed again. This is entirely due to the grace of Prophet Mohammad pbuh, mediation of Fatima-tuz-Zahra RA and spiritual attention of Al-Ghawth al-Azam Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani RA.
Exaltation of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
Every passing moment is a source of further exaltation for Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen because he is the wish of Hasan ibn Ali RA (refers to the incident of spiritual allegiance of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen in the Mohammadan Assembly whereby he was granted the heritage of Faqr through Hasan ibn Ali RA). Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is so focused into the Divine Essence that whichever disciple turns his direction towards Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, he inevidently is directed towards Allah.
The moment a disciple pledges allegiance to Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, he grants them with a unique treasure which is the key to all treasures. Then there are some who chose marvel (karamat also known as the miracle of a Saint) over steadfastness (consistency in Faqr) due to which they gain nothing. This is because it is the inciting innerself which desires for marvels but some prefer steadfastness only out of their obedience for Allah’s command to be steadfast.
Steadfastness
Abu Ali Jawz Jani RA says:
Be the disciple who choses steadfastness over marvel because it is the inciting innerself which desires marvel but your Sustainer wants you to be steadfast. So much so that your innerself adopts it permanently.
یٰٓاَیَّتَھَا النَّفْسُ الْمُطْمَئِنَّۃُ ہ ارْجِعِیی اِلٰی رَبِّکِ رَاضِیَۃً مَّرْضِیَّۃً
Meaning:
O contented pleased self!
Return to your Lord in such a state that you are both the aspirant to and the aspired of His pleasure (i.e. you seek His pleasure and He seeks yours).(89:27-28)
In this state, the innserself also assists and becomes a part of it. In this regard, Wasila bin Asqa RA states an ancient Hadith of the Holy Prophet pbuh:
“Your innserself should help you.” (Tibrani 187777)
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Quote
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman quotes:
“It is important to get beneficence from the perfect spiritual guide during his lifetime because he has the purified innerself with which he trains the inciting innerself of the seeker.”
This is the method of spiritual training of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen whereby the innerself also becomes an assistance and it becomes possible to gain steadfastness which is the sole way to gain all spiritual favours.
Steadfastness then converts into a marvel. The magnitude of the marvel and steadfastness of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen is such that he has dedicated all his life in fulfilling the commands of Allah. This he has done with such consistency and steadfastness that it has converted into a marvel.
It is a known and agreed upon marvel of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen that whoever has pledged allegiance to him has witnessed that Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has never spent a single day in not doing any work for Allah’s cause. He dedicates each moment in spreading the Mohammadan Faqr to the entire world.
Submission to the Will of Allah
The gnosis of the Vision of Allah is gained through the Mohammadan Assembly because Prophet Mohammad pbuh himself entrusts the seekers of Allah. The access to the Mohammadan Assembly is possible through the submission to the will and decision of Allah. Submission to the will and decision of Allah comes only when one is steadfast and to become steadfast, the favour oif Perfect Saints is necessary. The perfect example is of my beloved spiritual guide Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen who gifts his disciples with steadfastness on the day they pledge allegiance to him.
However, this favour does not imply to those who are (spiritually) blind since eternity for instance if a medicine does not suit a patient, then he pukes it out immediately.
Beneficence of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen
The way one is not aware of the taste of something until one actually tastes it, similarly, one is unaware of the infinite beneficence of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen till one actually pledges allegiance to him. He grants steadfastness to his disciples on the day they pledge allegiance to him which makes the disciple clearly see his destination. Steadfastness leads to the company of spiritual guide which transforms into affection that makes one fall into deep love known as Ishq. The beginning of this love is the point whereby Angel Gabriel, in the night of Ascension, became helpless and confessed that if he proceeds beyond that point, his wings might burn.
Regarding steadfastness, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen once said:
“Steadfastness means to keep moving forward (in one’s spiritual journey) till one gains perfection in it.”
Imam Ghazali says:
“Steadfastness is such a difficult thing as if walking on the as-Sirat which is thinner than the hair and sharper than a sword. The degree with which one practices steadfastness in this life would measure his ability to walk on as-Sirat in the hereafter. This is because it is easier to work after practicing for it. ”
Way to Allah is Spiritual
Once a Universal Divine Man was wearing a great attire. When a worldly person witnessed him, he inquired regarding wearing such an expensive suit. The Saint held his hand and made the person feel the inside of the fabric which was quite rough. The Saint said,
“The outer one is for created (world) and the inner one is for Creator (Allah).”
Likewise when a worldly person looks at Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen, he starts to judge him based on his clothes, vehicle, house and assistants. However, the true matter with Allah is that Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has spent his entire life to please Allah, contributed all his wealth in the way of Allah becoming exemplary of the following verse:
اَلَّذِیْنَ یُنْفِقُوْنَ فِی السَّرَّآئِ وَ الضَّرَّآئِ
Meaning:
They are the ones who spend in the cause of Allah whether they are affluent or indigent (in both the conditions), sublimate their anger and tolerate (the faults of the) people; and Allah loves those who are benevolent.(3:134)
To the extent that he reached the following station:
رَّضِیَ اللّٰہُ عَنْہُمْ وَ رَضُوْا عَنْہُ
Meaning:May Allah be pleased with them.
May Allah allow us to understand the elevated and exalted rank grandeur of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen through our inward and give us the ability to follow him with steadfastness. Ameen
As a translator, I would like to add that I am indebted to my beloved spiritual guide, Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen for allowing me to translate this beautiful article on his grandeur.
Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen marks an unmatched level of work and success in a quite difficult era which has faced the highest number of generational and communicational changes. He has hence, badged the greatest number of titles from the Mohammadan Assembly after Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. His disciples bear witness that since the day he pledged allegiance to his spiritual guide Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali (may Allah bless him), to date, he has not spent a day or night without working ardently for Faqr that makes him an exceptional entity in the spiritual and physical world.
The degree to measure the smartness of Sultan of Sarwari Qadri Order should be the level to which he has fulfilled his duty of spreading the word of Allah. Hence, undoubtedly Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen comes on top because he has broken all records of spreading the sacred knowledge and heritage of Mohammadan Faqr, he has surpassed all limitations of distance and language through his work including translations and choosing the right forms of media to spread the word.
Sultan-ul-Faqr VI Sultan Mohammad Asghar Ali (RA) is the predecessor of Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen. He was the 30th Shaikh of Sarwari Qadri order. He is mostly known due to his high spiritual rank being among the 7 sacred celestial souls. Moreover, it was during his time that Ism-e-Allah Zaat was made common to people. He initiated this system whereby anyone who pledged allegiance received it.

Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen Sultan Mohammad Najib-ur-Rehman has revived Mohammadan religion. In the way of Tasawuf, his teachings in the form of 24 books, prove to be the tower of light for the Mohammadan umma. His existence proves that even today Allah sends Perfect Fakirs for the betterment of His creation. Sultan-ul-Ashiqeen has blessed the inward of countless people with inspired knowledge. He showed the path of human ascension because the real Sunnah of the Prophet (pbuh) is to take one to that level
