بنھ چلایا طرف زمین دے، عرشوں فرش ٹکایا ھُو
گھر تھیں مِلیا دیس نکالا، اساں لکھیا جھولی پایا ھُو
رہ نی دنیاں نہ کر جھیڑا، ساڈا اَگّے دل گھبرایا ھُو
اسیں پردیسی ساڈا وطن دوراڈھا، بَاھُوؒ دَم دَم غم سوایا ھُو

ਘਰ ਥੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਦੇਸ ਨਿਕਾਲਾ, ਅਸਾਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਝੋਲ਼ੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੂ
ਰਹਿ ਨੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਝੇੜਾ, ਸਾਡਾ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਿਲ ਘਬਰਾਇਆ ਹੂ
ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਵਤਨ ਦੁਰਾਢਾ, ਬਾਹੂ(ਰਹ) ਦਮ ਦਮ ਗ਼ਮ ਸਵਾਇਆ ਹੂ

O world! Stop, don’t quarrel. I’m anxious, awaiting union

Real dwelling of the seeker of Allah is the realm of Divinity where he rejected both the world and the heavens for the sake of Divine vision. Fate has forced me to live in exile and brought me in the physical world from the eternal realm of Divinity. O world! Leave me, I am anxious and aggrieved being away from the Beloved. I am a stranger in this world, I will reach my homeland on having union with the Beloved. There are several hurdles and the waystations of trials in its path which I must cross with the power of Divine love and by ousting the love of world. Every passing moment is deepening my sorrow.
