جتھے رَتی عشق وکاوے، اُوتھے مَناں اِیمان دویوے ھُو
کُتب کِتاباں وِرد وظیفے، اُوتر چا کچیوے ھُو
باجھوں مُرشد کُجھ نہ حاصل، توڑے راتیں جاگ پڑھیوے ھُو
مَرئیے مَرن تِھیں اگّے بَاھُوؒ، تاں ربّ حاصل تھیوے ھُو

ਜਿੱਥੇ ਰੱਤੀ ਇਸ਼ਕ ਵਿਕਾਵੇ, ਉਥੇ ਮਣਾਂ ਈਮਾਨ ਦਵੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਕੁਤਬ ਕਿਤਾਬਾਂ ਵਿਰਦ ਵਜ਼ੀਫ਼ੇ, ਉਤਰ ਚਾ ਕਚੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਬਾਝੋਂ ਮੁਰਸ਼ਦ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਹਾਸਲ, ਤੋੜੇ ਰਾਤੀਂ ਜਾਗ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਵੇ ਹੂ
ਮਰੀਏ ਮਰਨ ਥੀਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਾਹੂ(ਰਹ), ਤਾਂ ਰੱਬ ਹਾਸਲ ਥੀਵੇ ਹੂ

Litanies, recitals and books became insignificant
Nothing is possible without a spiritual guide even in staying up all night to
worship
O Bahoo! It’s the death before dying that takes to Allah
Explanation by Sultan ul Ashiqeen
Where a few grams of Divine love is being sold better barter maunds of faith for it because the heights where love can take you, faith is unaware. Nothing is possible without the perfect spiritual guide even if you spend your entire life studying books, doing litanies, recitals or staying up at nights. Remember! Union with Allah is not possible without ‘death before dying’.
